Welcome to Northland Woolens, Inc. and thanks for stopping by. We are a small farm nestled in the heart of Minnesota where wool & yarn go hand in hand.

Since we started in 2000, we have added numerous diverse items to our collection.  We currently have 4 distinct branches within Northland Woolens, Inc.  

Our first line, Wool/Angora socks, is our mainstay. Angora is the lightest natural fiber known. The hollow structure of its fiber makes it ideal for thermal clothing and has been found to be 8 times warmer than sheep’s wool. This added warmth is wonderful for the outdoorsman and sportsman. Here in Minnesota we know the need for that added warmth!

The second branch is our Twice Baked® line. This division has several diverse items within its boundaries. They all are based around the fact that they are made of recycled wool sweaters. Each piece is individually done and you will find no two alike. Not only are they one of a kind but they are our way of "Going Green".

Our third line comes from the need for warm, quality winter hats. Yes, there are a lot of hats out there but the majority is made of acrylic yarn. Acrylic yarn has its place in the knitting world but if you want to keep warm, it’s not what you want to use. Knitting wool is the only choice.  Our hats are made of 100% Merino wool and lined with a fleece from Malden Mills. My patterns are all original and have a tendency to lean towards a Scandinavian design.  They are wonderful additions to your ski clothes.

Our last and newest line is our Summertime Up North socks. I developed this line as I love to make a statement wearing socks. I personally don't always have the newest items in fashion but I love socks and think you can have fun wearing them. So within this line we have Bike and Sport socks (my favorites), Fun and Whimsical and Kids Mismatched. So have fun surfing through our site, and remember everything here is 100% American made.
